Time-Trap
Welcome to TIME TRAP!
You are a contestant playing the futuristic game "Time Trap", choose your colour in the starting lobby using left and right on the D-pad and wait for the countdown.....
You have 60 seconds on your base platform and its counting down, if it reaches 0 you will be deleted.
Last man/woman standing wins.
Grabbing your colour orb and bringing it back will increase your time by 15 seconds.
Grabbing the special white orb with the black hole inside will grant you 5 seconds plus a random Time Sphere, that sphere is indicated next to your base.
Time spheres can be placed anywhere on the arena to create problems for your opponents.
Players who fall, will be re-spawned after a few seconds.
Fullscreen is advisable.
TIME SPHERES;
Rewind Time Sphere: Rewinds time for the player or orb caught in the sphere.
Pause Time Sphere: Time begins to slow until the player cannot move.
Fast Forward Sphere: Will forward time for you and other players and orbs. (A well placed Forward sphere can send a player straight off the edge)
This game requires 2 - 4 players to play.
Has been coded for generic gamepads (tried and tested with xbox so far, please try with others so I may get some feedback).
CONTROLS;
Left stick: Player Movement
West button (Xbox(X)): Drop Rewind Sphere.
South button (Xbox(A)): Drop Pause Sphere.
East button (Xbox(B)): Drop Forward Sphere.
The theme for this Time based Game Jam is "Escaping Fate"
Escape your fate with TimeTrap by adding time to your life.
KNOWN BUGS.
Have controllers on and connected by bluetooth or lead BEFORE game starts, don't press anything on the gamepads until in Lobby screen. (Pressing buttons before the game is fully loaded can make the game not read controllers correctly).
Pressing the controller after your player has been deleted will spawn another one and not allow the game to end.
Safari will NOT play this game load in Google Chrome instead.
